From October 1, 2021 - September 30, 2022 OSHA pulled data on violations cited and released the top 10 most-cited standards.
For the 12th year in a row, fall protection was the most cited standard with over double the citations than any other. Another great reminder why fall safety practices and products continue to evolve to meet the needs of those working in the most dangerous conditions.
Remaining the same since 2021, the 10 most-cited standards have remained the same in 2022, with a few changes. From 5th to 2nd, Hazard Communications jumped with a 25% increase in OSHA violations. Scaffolding dropped by almost 20% and respiratory protection fell from 2nd to 3rd. See the top 10 list below.

4. Ladders: 2,143 Violations
5. Scaffolding: 2,058 Violations
6. Lockout/Tagout: 1,977 Violations
7. Powered Industrial Trucks: 1,749 Violations
8. Fall Protection - Training Requirements: 1,556 Violations
9. Eye and Face Protection: 1,401 Violations
10. Machine Guarding: 1,370 Violations
